Connection

  • Students must have Broadband Internet Connection with at least 8 Mbps download and 1.5 Mbps upload

  • Students must have a working Webcam and Microphone either as part of the device or externally attached to the desktop Computer

  • Devices must be fully charged, charged over 60% or keep your device plugged into a power source

  • If you have a slow Internet connection, ask others in your household to refrain from streaming movies or YouTube during your lessons

Equipment

Environment

  • Find a space where you feel safe and comfortable to make noise and play your Instrument

  • To be seen easily put your device on a stand or pile books, make sure your face can be seen clearly and torso if we are doing breathing exercises—test by taking a photo before you begin so you can see what I will see

  • Make sure that if you are learning Piano or Guitar that your Instrument is in view at the start of the lesson and that I can see your hands

  • Ensure light devices or windows are behind the mobile device or desktop Computer

  • Where possible, you should be in a quiet space with a simple background behind you. The background where possible, should not include active areas that might accidentally lead to inappropriate vision or distractions

  • Make sure other people in your household are aware that you are having an online lesson so that they are aware of any noise or disruptions they may cause

  • Please understand that I am not responsible for Internet lag due to Internet traffic conditions and accordingly do not hold me accountable for lost time during the lesson due to such conditions
