END OF YEAR GRATITUDE & SOIRÉE 2023
Dear Students and Friends,
This year was the biggest Soirèe to date, with 24 outstanding performers willing to share! It inspired me to want to create more opportunities for us to gather in this way in 2024. There is much aliveness in the Sound Weaving Community, and I wish many students could meet each other and perform more often. Let me know if this is something you would like to happen.
As I left the Soirèe with my car and heart full, I realised the enormity of what we had been doing and what was created.
How many spaces are held with non-judgment and kindness so we can show up vulnerably and honestly to explore the edges of our humanness?
The questions that have been reflected to me and I continue to ask are…
Why is sharing one’s voice, song, and music so scary?
Why do we close down the intense energies and hide ourselves from others rather than share them?
Why is life scared of life?
I have no answers, only the silence after the questions.
Thank you for every moment of joy and pain I witnessed and sat through this year. All energies are welcomed and loved.
Thank you for all the confusion, not knowing and defensiveness from learning and growing. May it teach us to receive with humility, love and grace.
“May voices and hearts be free to express the winds of life that move through them and not be held down by the forces of fear held inside or projected from the outside.”
I thank all my teachers, alive and past: Anne Miller, Vicky Roussel, Mira Melton (deceased), Eoin McCarthy, Rebekah Luisse, Amit Carmeli, Surya, Manish Kumar and Channa Dasanyaka. I honour the knowledge and wisdom they have shared with me. May you continue to be a flowing river of this knowledge.
I honour my ancestors and thank them for holding me in silent ways. Thank you for showing up on the day of the Soirèe and guiding me through this life; I know I am never alone. I am always loved and always supported.
I am taking a 6-week break over the Christmas/New Year’s period from Saturday, 16th December to Sunday, 28th January.
Bookings will open soon for Term 1, 2024; I will message you all directly when I open the online booking system.
Classes start back on Monday, 29th January 2024.
I can feel the winds of change blowing me into next year, so watch this space as there will be new offerings throughout the year.

Soirée 2023
To all that came and performed at the end of the year, Soirée, it was an honour to witness and receive you! There was a lot of big energy in the lead-up for all, and I want to commend you all for showing up and not running away. This is how we genuinely transform from fear into freedom. Thank you to everyone who came and listened and held space for each performer to meet the moment as it was.
Thank you to everyone who came and helped set up/pack down, bought food and allowed a space of beauty to be created. I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you, Megan Gamble (Yoga Spot Fairfield), for generously donating your beautiful space for the Soirée. May the goodness permeate the walls, air and all who enter.
