The questions I ask myself a lot are: why am I singing? Where does my voice come from? Why do I need to make music?
I recognise that at different moments in time, I answer these questions differently. The other day, a voice arose in me saying, “I don’t want to sing anymore”, and I pondered what it would be like not to sing. After a few days of sitting with the question, I felt the answer: It feels so good when the sound vibrates through my body. It feels like home. I will continue to explore and ask this question to see where it leads me.

Song & Sound
The Song & Sound workshop is scheduled to take place in Term 4, 2025, on Monday, 27th October.
A 6-week musical journey exploring your voice and sound making!
Song & Sound workshops are intimate group singing sessions. That allows students to connect to their human instrument in an environment that nurtures exploration, fun, self-expression and creativity. These workshop sessions will focus on singing songs in unison, 3-4 part harmonies, improvisation games, looping, chanting, storytelling, singing circles, vocal rhythm and body percussion. Songs chosen represent the interests of groups that gather.
Space is limited - there are 4 spots left for the full workshop and 2 drop-in spots per weekly workshop, so it’s best to pre-purchase your tickets now.

Sound Weaving
The Sound Weaving workshop, which took place in mid-September, was one of the most beautiful workshops I have ever held. Thank you to all the wonderful souls who came and opened themselves to the mystery of their voice and music.
