A strong feeling began to move within me to reignite Sound Weaving workshops this year, and here it is.
I have been teaching and facilitating voice and sound for 20 years, and I feel how important and powerful it is to learn in community. Wisdom and pain exist within the community, and if we are willing to open ourselves slowly and gently to the ears and hearts of the community, it cracks us wide open to the miraculous.
The last time I held a Sound Weaving workshop was in 2000, pre-COVID. It’s the only workshop like this I will be running this year.
I will share the deep experience of feeling one’s voice as a vibrating living being moving through this beautiful instrument of the body. We will come to the remembering and loving connection that the voice is medicine and is a personal yet deeply communal being. We will slowly uncover what is holding back this musical nature and voice through breathing practices, physical release practices, sounding, and humming. By simply being, we will allow all that is alive to arise from moment to moment and respond with honesty and truth.
I create these spaces to enable people to lift each other up, so we can be our most vibrant, creative, and loving selves in this world.
No perfection or vocal experience is required. All voices welcome.
