This year the music of life has breathed its magic through the doors of my studio and life. One by one, the students came not sure what they were going to receive, but with a silent knowing that they wanted to allow their creative expression to flow once again.
As hearts and voices opened, wisdom, pain and grief came pouring forth, stories were shared, and we learnt to trust one another again, to trust ourselves and to trust life. To remember that if we meet fear, joy is usually living there too.
I am grateful for all that I have heard, witnessed and felt this year as it allows me to understand that when a love for music arises; it can transform lives.
I sing because my heart calls to my soul to remember the way home — the breath as my guide and my students, my greatest teachers. I am humbly grateful for your trust and all the love I have received this year. I look forward to the next singing decade.
